Career tipps

Would you like to work at MOL Hungary?

With the help of our experienced recruitment experts, we’ve put together some helpful tips so you can already give your best even during application.

  1. It is important to include all relevant professional experience in your CV!
Always tailor your CV to the position you apply for, if you have relevant experience or competence, never miss it.

  2. A well-structured, meaningful CV can be more useful than a motivation letter.
Instead of writing motivational letters, try to build a well-structured, meaningful CV that shows you the professional experience and competences you have. If you can, use a spelling checker when writing your CV and feel free to highlight the most relevant experiences and competencies.

  3. Your CV should always be fresh and have high quality!
When applying, upload a well-structured and up-to-date CV. It should be transparent and short, but has to include personal data, educational qualifications and professional experience (always starting with the most recent one), tasks and responsibilities, trainings, language skills, other competences and hobbies. If possible, justify the work gaps in your CV.
A photographic CV is not expected.

  4. Know what positions you have applied for!
If you've applied for multiple positions, make a list with the details so that you will not be surprised even during a phone interview and will be prepared to answer any questions you may get.

  5. Prepare to the interview in your mind!
A job interview can be a difficult stress situation for many of us, so take the time to prepare yourself mentally. Try to arrive relaxed and balanced and strive for authenticity. Prepare yourself carefully so you can be more confident and relaxed.

  6. Arrive on time and prepared for the interview!
Please arrive for the face-to-face interview on time. If you're late for some reason, always tell our colleague the cause and extent of the delay. Wear appropriate clothing (even for a teams or Skype interview) so you can be more confident and make a positive impression on interviewers. Before the meeting, re-read the job ad and look up the basic information about the company (for this you can find help here). Be prepared for the possible questions, consider in advance what relevant professional experiences, successes and competences, challenges you would like to tell us about. You should also prepare yourself with questions about your position, tasks, team and working conditions.

  7. Stay objective and straightforward!
In the interview, try to answer all the questions you’re asked, in a structured and straightforward way. If you’re being asked about your weaknesses, feel free to take them on and gather the qualities in which you have evolved, and which are the ones you would like to improve. If you're not sure you're interpreting the question right, feel free to ask back.

  8. Always be positive!
Whether you're talking about your previous employer or your failures, always stay positive, professional and objective. Focus on the experience and competencies you've gained, as well as the challenges and successes you've lived through there. Positive communication (and body language) is half of the success in creating a positive image.

  9. If you're a fresh-graduate and feel like you don't have enough professional experience, think about the other competences and successes you'd like to share.
Collect what you'd like to tell us about your school years, what your favorite subjects were, what projects you've been involved in, where you've spent your internship, or what you do in your spare time. Consider your attributes that may be relevant to your position and support them with a specific example during the interview.

  10. Feel free to ask for feedback!
Feel free to ask for feedback, either during phone or face-to-face interviews. If you have any questions after the interview contact our HR colleagues. Constructive feedback can be a great help in case of a second interview.
